This article will describe how to make an ISO file useful and how to use a downloaded bootable ISO image.
Like the traditional boot floppy diskettes, CD or DVD-ROM discs can be used to boot into a DOS or other operating system.
Simply transferring stuff to a CD won’t work since a CD needs a master boot record and other hidden Startup operating system components. Making an ISO image, which is a single file that represents a bootable CD, is the preferred method.
The majority of CD-ROM burning software can open this type of picture file. After the ISO file has been burned as an image, the newly created CD is a bootable replica of the original. In addition to the bootable OS, the CD will also include a number of software packages, including many Seagate utilities that are downloaded in.iso image format.
This manual will describe how to make.iso files useful and how to use downloaded ISO images.
Hardware Requirement: A CD-ROM burner, either internal or external, is required in order to burn the ISO image to a blank CD.
